There were only 13 new COVID-19 cases in the London area on Sunday.

According to the Middlesex-London Health Unit, the regional case number is currently 6,018. 201 cases are currently active.

Twenty more people have recovered from the virus in the past 24 hours. So far, 5,636 people in the region have recovered from the virus.

No new deaths were reported on Sunday, with the death toll standing at 181.

The number of institutional outbreaks in the region remains at six. An outbreak was declared at the Dearness Home on Saturday. However, an outbreak at Henley Place LTC Residence has been classified as resolved.

Ten schools in London-Middlesex are currently reporting COVID-19 cases. An outbreak has been reported at Caradoc North Public School and Clara Brenton Public School.

Nine new cases were reported in Elgin and Oxford counties on Sunday, according to Southwestern Public Health. The latest cases bring the total number of cases to 2,433.

Elsewhere, Ontario health officials reported 981 additional cases on Sunday. The case number in Ontario is now 285,868.
