20 new COVID-19 cases were reported in Middlesex-London on Thursday

The Middlesex-London Health Unit (MLHU) reports 20 new laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases on Thursday but no new deaths.

Meanwhile, the London Health Sciences Center (LHSC) is caring for 23 patients with COVID-19, including five or fewer patients in adult intensive care units. No patients with COVID-19 are currently being cared for in children’s hospitals and in pediatric intensive care.

LHSC is also addressing three ongoing outbreaks at the University Hospital affecting cardiology, CVT and clinical neuroscience.

There is also an ongoing outbreak at the Parkwood Institute Mental Health Care Building, according to St. Joseph’s.

82 employees are currently sick with COVID-19 at LHSC, while 35 employees are sick at St. Joseph’s as of Wednesday.

There were a total of 392 deaths in the region.
