London, Ontario –

The Middlesex-London Health Unit (MLHU) reported 26 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday.

Today’s number of cases is half of the new cases reported on Saturday.

There are 216 now active cases in the region and no further deaths have been recorded.

The total number of cases for the region is 13,127 with 12,679 cases resolved.

The death toll stands at 232.

Meanwhile, Ontario reports another spike in COVID-19 cases as new infections surpass 700 for the first time in months.

Health officials confirmed 722 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, an increase from Saturday’s 689 infections.

It’s the highest number of new cases in a single day since June 5, when 744 cases were reported.
