63 new COVID-19 circumstances in Middlesex-London, no new deaths on Saturday

LONDON, ONT. – The Middlesex-London Health Unit (MLHU) reported 63 new COVID-19 cases and no new deaths on Saturday.

The region now has a total of 11,949 cases and 217 deaths, with 11,135 cases resolved and 597 active and 2,784 cases left with a worrying variant.

Saturday’s numbers come as the province allowed golf courses and other outdoor recreational facilities to reopen. However, outdoor sports and courses are still banned.

Across Ontario, new infections were below 1,800, with 1,794 new cases reported on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the province announced on Friday that teenagers 12 and over could start booking vaccinations on May 23, one week ahead of the scheduled date.
