Award-winning chef Alberto Landgraf brings Brazilian flavors to London with Bossa

London, prepare to sing to the beat of a new culinary rhythm. Alberto Landgraf, the award-winning chef at Oteque, a beacon of gastronomic excellence in Rio de Janeiro, is inaugurating his first culinary outpost, Bossa, in the heart of London, due to open on May 24th.
Located at the main crossroads of Mayfair and Marylebone, the restaurant promises to infuse the British capital’s food scene with the vibrant spirit of Brazil. Under Landgraf’s creative vision, Oteque has received two Michelin stars and is ranked 47th on the list of the world’s 50 best.
Bossa presents the chef’s signature Brazilian cuisine in a stylishly designed 60-seat restaurant, complete with an open kitchen and a ten-seat counter for a more interactive experience. The modern yet cozy interiors feature mood lighting, bespoke woodwork and large windows that bathe the space in ample natural daylight.
Expect plates to share and some of Landgraf’s signature dishes on the menu, such as skewered duck hearts with farofa, whole palm hearts on the grill and caramelized Brazil nut vinaigrette, as well as roasted scallops, leeks, roasted buckwheat and tucupi sauce. Those with a sweet tooth will be pampered with delicious desserts, including tonka panna cotta with cupuaçu jam and crunchy cocoa nibs, and acai sorbet with cane bran and spiced chocolate. We fondly remember the brilliance of Alberto’s food, a blend of vibrant flavors and technical precision, during his four-handed dinner at Lyle’s last year.
Back in a city dear to his heart, the chef, who gained his industry experience under the likes of Gordon Ramsay and Tom Aikens, brings with him an impressive wine selection curated by Laís Aoki, recognized as one of South America’s top sommeliers and recently holder of the title “Best Sommelier in Brazil”.
