If none other than top chef Giorgio Locatelli rated your takeaway pizza with five stars in a taste test, then you have to do something right. For Brixton locals, it’s good news that Baz & Fred will be the newest food opening for Brixton Village.
The duo, who opened their first place in Flat Iron Square after years in the wedding and festival food scene, start taking away their Italian pizza, served whole or sliced. You will use a take away hatch to serve take away or take away pizza.
The pizzas include:
- Wood burnt eggplant and ricotta
- Rosary goat cheese and caramelized onions
- Chorizo and sobrassada with rosemary honey and fior di latte
If they are allowed to open, there is room for 18 inside and 26 outside in the Brixton room. And if you like what you’re trying here, remember that there is also a country inn that has pizza on the menu. The Stump, which they opened in Cirencester in 2019, was recently named the Best Hotels in the Cotswolds by Conde Nast Traveler.
