The PlumbNation study compared average house prices in London to the average size of private outdoor space.
It calculated the average cost of a property per m2 of garden space to identify the most expensive (and affordable) gardens in the capital.
The London Borough of Bromley has a property value per square meter of outdoor space of £1,313.95 – the cheapest in the capital.
Bromley also reported having the largest gardens in London, with an average outside area of 331.10m2.
In second place for best value for money is Bexley, where the average property value per square meter of garden is £1,429.34.
In third place is Croydon, where the average cost of a property per square meter of garden is £1,452.68.
Meanwhile, Kensington and Chelsea topped the list of most expensive areas, with the average property value per square meter of garden a whopping £13,656.34.
