Welcome to the Capital of Culture coming to you this week from the Design Museum in Kensington.

It hasn’t been the best week for the arts as the government dropped a four week delay bomb on reopening plans. We won’t be put off, however – there is still plenty to do and see in London (and you can escape the miserable weather).

This week we visit the Design Museum’s new exhibition about the influential French designer and architect Charlotte Perriand; I’m talking to seasoned feminist art activists, the Guerrilla Girls, about their new nationwide poster campaign for Art Night; Our thing of the week comes from the brilliant Wellcome Collection on Euston Road; and I’ll be reviewing the spectacular new film adaptation of Lin Manuel-Miranda’s original stage musical In the Heights.
