COVID-19 case reported at French immersion college in London

A single case of COVID-19 was confirmed at a French public immersion school in London on Tuesday.

According to the Thames Valley District School Board (TVDSB), the case was identified at the Kensal Park French Immersion Public School in London.

The school board says parents, guardians and staff have been notified and the Middlesex-London Health Unit (MLHU) is working to identify close contacts of the infected people.

“Thames Valley follows all health and safety protocols recommended by both the local health authority and the Department of Education, and schools remain safe places to attend,” the board said in a statement.

There are currently two active cases of the virus associated with TVDSB schools. A case was reported on Monday at a Woodstock public school.
