Our rest was on the evening of 6th of Junewhen our loved ones in a hateful terrorist attack in London, Ontario.
Hate has no place in this world and CANNOT be tolerated Canada. We have every confidence in the Canadian judicial system to deal with this matter to the fullest extent possible.
In the hours and days that followed, we were overwhelmed by the compassion and kindness shown by countless Canadians as well as people from all over the world. We appreciate your continued support.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to the first responders who did everything for our loved ones, the hotel staff who showed us their hospitality, the neighbors who left flowers in the place of horror, the friends who brought food and opened their hearts and houses for us and the London Health Sciences Center staff caring for a frightened little boy. Our family would also like to thank the Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Opposition leader Erin O’Toole, NDP leader Jagmeet Singh, Ontario premier Doug Ford, Opposition leader in Ontario Andrea Horwath, Leaders of all other major political parties, members of parliament, members of the provincial parliament, London mayor Ed Holder, London City Councilors, London Police service, religious leaders and the countless people who attended the vigil – thank you from the bottom of my heart.
this is that Canada that we know and love.
We understand that people are worried about the boy and we are grateful that he is well rested and surrounded by loved ones. At this point in time, however, we ask the media and the public not to disclose any other personal information to protect it and ensure its long-term security.
While we are touched by the tide of support in London and across Canada, At this point, the family is soliciting privacy from the media and the public as we prepare to rest our loved ones in a private funeral tomorrow.
We will miss our beloved mother, our beloved brother, his beloved wife and daughter very much. Her death with her exemplary characters will further illuminate the world and show that acceptance, justice and tolerance will always triumph over hate.
The deeds of an individual and the ideals of a few define neither a nation nor a religion. The actions of it all speak for the country.
