A new coffee and wine bar has announced that it has signed its first location in central London.
Where’s Fred’s, created by the founder of coffee brand District, will move into a 750 square foot unit on Frederick’s Place owned by the Mercers’ Company.
The bar, which opens this summer, offers a day-to-night concept that accompanies consumers from brunch to evening drinks and nibbles.
The building is part of the Mercer’s Company City residential development, which has been refurbished for £ 20m over the past 5 years.
Chelsea Finch, Founder of Where’s Fred’s, commented: “I am delighted to be entering the evening area with an evolutionary concept based on the successful District brand.
“Frederick’s Place is in a unique location and is the epitome of an inner-city cultural ecosystem. It offers an exclusive place that is mainly discovered through word of mouth.
“We’re excited to open a new venue that appeals to everyone – local office workers and London locals looking to have a drink after lunch or after work.
“With excellent transport links on our doorstep and a picturesque bezel, Where’s Fred’s debut house at 7 Frederick’s Place will open in time to welcome guests later this summer.”
Simon Taylor, Property Director at Mercers’ Company added, “Our vision for the residential home in the city was to enhance the popular traditional cul-de-sac atmosphere and create a contemporary working community in the heart of London.
“Our extensive investment in Frederick’s Place has changed the location, combining the city’s heritage with modern and desirable office space and an exciting range of food and drink options with day and evening appeal.
“Where is Fred’s flexible offering that is a chic and friendly addition to the destination, and we are confident they will be an exceptionally good fit.”
