The company is a leading player in the technology industry with a strong focus on innovation and leading-edge solutions. With a robust recurring revenue model and an impressive annual turnover of £200m they have established themselves as a major player in the market. As they continue to grow their business, we are seeking a talented finance professional to join the team and contribute to our continued success. In doing so, we work closely with an experienced Group CFO who wishes to exit the business after exiting.
The role:
As Group Finance Director, you will play a critical role in driving financial growth and maximizing profitability. You will work closely with the leadership team, including the CEO and CFO, to develop and execute financial strategies that align with our business objectives. Your expertise in the technology sector and your experience with recurring revenue models will be instrumental in shaping the financial deals.
- Provide strategic financial advice to the leadership team and board of directors, ensuring alignment with our overall business strategy.
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to optimize financial performance and support long-term growth.
- Lead the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly management accounts, annual reports and board presentations.
- Foster financial analysis and evaluation of investment opportunities, ensuring informed financial decisions across the enterprise.
- Work with key stakeholders to develop and implement financial policies, procedures and internal controls.
- Manage relationships with external partners such as auditors, tax advisors and financial institutions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency within the finance function.
The requirements:
- Proven experience as Finance Director or similar position, preferably in the technology sector and with experience in recurring revenue models.
- Strong commercial acumen and a track record of driving financial growth and profitability in a fast-paced, private equity-backed environment.
- In-depth knowledge of financial management principles, accounting standards and financial regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into meaningful insights and recommendations.
- Excellent leadership skills with a proven track record of building and leading high-performing finance teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in a private equity funded company essential; with hands-on exit exposure required
