In tough competition, Colonel Saab won in Holborn, Kasa and Kin in Soho, iNaga in Bromley and Namaaste in Highgate.

The Asian Curry Awards are described as the biggest “event in Asia’s culinary calendar” and some are even represented by the “Curry Oscars”.

Every year, hundreds of winners attend the awards ceremony before being shortened to the top before a jury votes on the winners.

The Asian Curry Awards ceremony took place on Sunday November 19th at Grosvenor House in London and was hosted by BBC News journalist Samantha Simmonds.

Colonel Saab in Holborn was named Asain Restaurant of the Year and is described as “an elegant Indian fine dining experience”.

Colonel Saab shares that the restaurant, founded by Roop Partap Choudhary, is inspired by the travel stories of Roop’s parents and is a “love letter” to his family.

Online review site Tripadvisor has over 180 reviews with a rating of 4.5, with one visitor saying: “Great food and great service! Anshu and Chintu are a real asset to Colonel Saab’s team! Congratulations to management for hiring us.”

Nanu Miah from iNaga in Bromley, winner of the cooking competition of the year, previously said: “I run a very good kitchen and we have great staff.”

“I hope I win the award for all of us and iNaga Restaurant.”

Kasa and Kin in Soho was named the best Filipino restaurant and received a 4-star rating on Tripadvisor. Users shared that they had an “unforgettable dinner experience” and wrote, “As Filipinos, our dining experience is very good. “The service is excellent, especially the owner.” Mr. Joseph and the waiters Josh and Asma were very accommodating.”

Named Newcomer of the Year at the Asian Curry Awards, Namaaste Highgate shares that they have “created a space to create fine Indian cuisine and put together a team that values ​​hospitality.”
