Gun ammunition and medicines present in a police raid on the grocery retailer in West London

Drugs and gun ammunition were found in a raid on a shop in West London, Scotland Yard has announced.

On January 13, at the Olympic Food Center at 21 Moscow Road, Bayswater, officers carried out a warrant for “drug abuse” arrest.

The license for the premises of the business was due to be reviewed by Westminster Council on February 10th at the request of the Met to the council.

Two people were arrested and investigated following the raid, but remain to be charged.

A police statement said: “A lot of drugs, cash and firearm ammunition were recovered …

“An investigation is ongoing, led by the Central West Command Unit’s CID.”

A report presented to the Council’s Licensing Committee today has been heavily edited.

The council said this was to protect the ongoing criminal investigation.

The council will decide in the coming days whether to revoke the business’s license.
