Latham hires monetary companions from White & Case London

Latham & Watkins has engaged a White & Case financing partner in London.

The firm announced Tuesday that partner Tom Bartlett is joining its project development and finance practice, according to his LinkedIn profile from White & Case, where he has spent 17 years, including the last decade as a partner.

Bartlett’s practice focuses on oil and gas, energy and satellite finance, and he also regularly advises clients on innovative renewable energy finance and energy transition transactions.

Stephen Kensell, Managing Partner of Latham & Watkins London, said in a statement: “Tom is a highly talented and highly experienced practitioner with a wide range of skills that will further enhance our existing capabilities in Europe and globally. He brings an outstanding track record of advising on large and complex financings and we are delighted to have him join the team.”

This is the latest hire for Latham in London. Earlier this month, the firm hired Alex Martin, financial partner at Weil Gotshal & Manges.

In June the firm retained Helen Lethaby, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer’s tax partner, and in February Linklaters’ restructuring partner Bruce Bell.

A spokesman for White & Case said in a statement: “We can confirm that Tom Bartlett has left White & Case. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”
