About LABRC

LABRC is London’s premier arts-based research organization offering a wide range of inspiring projects, conferences, courses, workshops and creative research opportunities for writers, scholars, academics and artists around the world.

LABRC also publishes Indelible, a popular literary and arts journal that showcases the work of international creatives (writers, poets, photographers, visual artists and reviewers), both established and emerging.

In addition to Indelible, LABRC hosts Psychreative, a digital arts-based research salon, Indelible Evenings, a series of online literary events, and an annual literary festival.

Indelible journal of literature and art

Indelible is a literary and arts magazine that caters to a broader community of established and emerging writers. The name Indelible, inspired by the way poet Hilda Doolittle (HD) used it in her trilogy of poems, refers to indelible ink, which is a metaphor for the power of words.

Psychreative

Psychreative is a monthly gathering for Jungian creatives. The aim is to build an international community of Jungian creatives and to find a fun, informal way to cultivate a shared artistic space under the umbrella of “active imagination”.

courses and events

Our activities welcome writers and researchers of all levels of experience – from the aspiring to the established. Online or in person, from two-hour workshops to two-day conferences to month-long courses, LABRC offers inspiration, intellectual stimulation and the opportunity to share, debate and transform your research or writing.

How do creativity and research intersect?

We are witnessing this complementary, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary relationship between knowledge and creativity, both manifesting as one and the same through arts-based research. We have all let our art take us with us and take us to new places. We’ve all been taught by it as it morphed into a creativity-driven knowledge-gathering mode. Poets, writers, visual artists and psychology researchers tell how their craft leads to the acquisition of knowledge.
