The beer shop on Adelaide Street and Lorne Avenue underwent a thorough cleaning after one of its employees tested positive for COVID-19.
The case was confirmed by the Beer Store late Monday. The infected employee last worked in the store on March 29.
“Since our team member is looked after, we send our positive thoughts and best wishes,” said the beer shop in a statement. “As a precautionary measure, all potentially affected employees will either monitor the symptoms or isolate themselves based on the circumstances.”
The site was closed for a day while it underwent a thorough disinfectant deep clean. The reopening is scheduled for Tuesday.
Middlesex London Health Unit is working with the business on the latest case.
In addition to the “robust” cleaning and physical distancing protocols, the Beer Store has binding guidelines for employees in all branches.
