London climate reside: updates as heavy rain causes flooded streets in south London

It has been a wet August so far and that will not change anytime soon, as London experienced heavy rains and stormy showers today (August 7th).

And according to the Met Office, there are further rain forecasts for the capital this weekend.

London has been the victim of floods, thunder and storms for the past few weeks and in midsummer it is still not going to feel like it should this weekend.

The rain has already caused traffic disruption as Transport for London reported that trains were unable to stop at Circle, Hammersmith & City and Metropolitan Line platforms on Liverpool Street.

Areas in East London, including Walthamstow, are particularly hard hit.

It will be a very wet and rainy day on Saturday as it is expected to flow through in full.
