It’s safe to say that the weather in London has been a bit erratic lately – one minute it’s raining heavily and the next you wish you had bought the sunglasses.

To make sure you don’t get caught leaving the house for a pub break after work, here is the forecast for today and the weekend ahead.

It won’t be the warmest weekend, but it will stay dry. The sunny period couldn’t come at a better time as pubs and restaurants make the most of being able to serve customers outdoors.

Forecasters believe the capital will stay mostly dry this weekend, despite the fact that we all know how spirited the UK climate can be.

Friday

There will be plenty of sunshine and it will remain largely dry in the morning. Later, however, a thicker cloud will form in some places, with the possibility of a strange shower.

6 o’clock in the morning: Sunny intervals and light winds, 5 degrees

8 a.m.: Sunny intervals and light winds, 7 degrees

10 a.m .: Sunny and light breeze, 10 degrees

The weekend ahead of us

Looking ahead to the rest of the weekend, Saturday seems like a pretty choppy day. A deep low pressure system from the west will bring in some high winds and some persistent rainy periods.

Sunday can feel pretty warm compared to the last few days. Sunday remains windy with the possibility of thunderstorm rain, but warm sun rays are likely.
