A group of London restaurants have teamed up to raise money for the Covid crisis in India.

A whole fleet of Indian restaurants belonging to the JKS Group – including Gymkhana, Brigadiers, Trishna and Hoppers – is participating in the new donation initiative alongside Jamavar, Tandoor Chop House, Pali Hill and Jikoni.

All spots promise to make their contribution to the “1 Billion Breaths” campaign.

Every restaurant strives to raise as much money as possible through various fundraising drives – from exclusive dinner dinners to bespoke delivery menus to charitable donations on bills.

All proceeds from each event will be donated in hopes of meeting the UK’s £ 200,000 target and the campaign will run from Friday 28 May to the end of June.

Jyotin Sethi, CEO and Co-Founder of JKS, told Metro.co.uk, “It has been incredibly difficult for all of us at JKS Restaurants to see India in crisis as many of us have friends and family who are affected – well we are very proud to partner with the global Indian restaurant community through the 1 Billion Breaths campaign.

“By donating all proceeds from exclusive dinner events at Gymkhana and Hoppers as well as from limited delivery parties at Trishna, Brigadiers, Ambassador General Store and Motu Indian Kitchen, we hope to make a small contribution to raise money for the cause.”
