A London food bank has asked for donations after thieves stole their van and all groceries overnight.
Brent Food Bank said their vehicle was full of supplies to be delivered to local people living in food poverty.
They described the theft as a “massive blow” to his mission to make sure nobody goes hungry.
The board tweeted, “I am very sad to announce that our van was stolen just before midnight last night right outside our Neasden Center.
“I’m even sadder to say it was full of supplies that should have been given to people who needed emergency grocery packages in the coming weeks.
“This is a major blow to us, as you can imagine.”
Senior organizer Sophie said she and other volunteers were “dead gutted.”
She told Metro.co.uk, “Since we run the blackboard in a very small space, we use the van when it is not on the street to store our overflow. And all that food is gone now. ‘

Supporters and social media users shared their shock over the crime.
Writer Russ Kane tweeted the appeal, saying, “There are no depths that thieves will not sink into. No humanity. ‘
Rachel Macklin said, “Devastated today for Sophie, Lucia and their team. Keep your eyes peeled for North London. ‘
