Modifications are coming at London’s COVID-19 mass vaccination clinics

London, Ontario’s COVID-19 vaccination clinics are set to see some big changes in the coming weeks, with two of the city’s clinics set to close in December, the Middlesex-London Health Unit announced Thursday.

According to a press release from MLHU, the Caradoc Community Center COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic will be permanently closed on December 14, while the last day of operation of the Westmount Shopping Center Vaccine Clinic will be December 30.

Despite the closures, “the health department at its COVID-19 mass vaccination clinic at Western Fair will continue to offer both primary and booster doses of the COVID-19 vaccine for the foreseeable future.”

Ahead of its closure, the opening hours of the mass vaccination clinic at the Caradoc Community Center in Mount Brydges will also change from next week.

From November 28th, the Caradoc Community Center will be open Monday to Wednesday from 11am to 6pm

The MLHU said doses of the COVID-19 vaccine will continue to be available through local pharmacies.

“As COVID-19 continues to circulate concurrently with other respiratory illnesses, the Department of Public Health is reminding the community that vaccination is the most effective way to stay healthy as we head into the holiday season,” the release reads.
