A London food and beverage importer has announced that it will create around 30 jobs through the acquisition of a new regional distribution center.

Wanis International Foods has acquired a new regional distribution center of 100,000 m² in SEGRO Park in Rainham for an undisclosed amount.

The company advised by Colliers said the newly built center will create around 30 jobs for the region.

Akhtar Alibhai of Colliers said, “It was great to be part of this exciting acquisition on behalf of Wanis and to work so closely with SEGRO to deliver this new, highly specialized distribution center on time after a tight 38-week construction program.”

“We advised Wanis on their logistical expansion plan, which began in 2017 when we acquired a 6.5 hectare distribution center for them in Milton Keynes.

“This ultra-modern new building has just been completed and Wanis has now started an extensive expansion program, which we expect to move into before the end of the year.

“This latest addition increases their logistics and distribution capacity to over 350,000 square feet in the Midlands and the Southeast.”
