Obituary for Glenn Ward (1933 – 2023) – London, OH

Glenn Ward, 89, of London, died at London Health and Rehabilitation on Wednesday 25 January 2023.

He was born on July 18, 1933 in Boons Camp, Kentucky to Willie and Ethel (Bradley) Ward.

After graduating from high school, Glenn attended the University of Kentucky. He then served in the US Army during the Korean War. After leaving the service, Glenn worked for General Motors, where he retired after 32 years as a supervisor. He was a man of God and attended Hocking Hills Church of Christ. Glenn enjoyed watching sports, particularly the Alabama Crimson Tide for football and the Kentucky Wildcats for basketball. He was also an avid deer and turkey hunter, as well as an experienced fisherman. Thanksgiving definitely won’t be the same without its wild turkey contributions, along with countless other memories we’ll cherish.

Glenn is survived by his wife of 44 years, Nancy (Weaver) Ward; children Ron (Darlene) Ward, Steve (April) Sparks, Stephanie (Neil) Clarridge, Ruric (Trisha) Sparks; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren plus one on the way; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

His parents precede him in death; grandson Gabriel O. Ward; Siblings Herman Ward, Eulah Meeks and Irene Wellman.

In the spring, Glenn’s life is celebrated.

The family is cared for by the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 North Main Street, London, Ohio 43140. We encourage the family to offer their condolences online at www.eberlefisherfuneralhome.com.
