One of the capital’s most popular hiding spots, Pergola, is expanding with East London this summer Pergola on the quay. Her first permanent home is a more adult and elevated version of the original Paddington outpost with panoramic views of the city from a wraparound deck. Inside there are three bars, a cornucopia of pop-ups, private party rooms and plenty of space to dance to DJ sets and live music until late at night.
Where is the pergola on the quay?
Pergola on the Wharf is on the east side of the Crossrail Place Roof Garden. It has elevated views over Canary Wharf’s north dock and is the ideal spot to enjoy the sunset with a cocktail or two.
What is the design of Pergola on the Wharf?
Pergola on the Wharf was conceived as a botanical eden by the water, flooded with natural light from floor-to-ceiling windows and dotted with green flora, vines and ferns. The subtleties of botany are balanced out by a simple, sophisticated color palette. In addition, there will be an expansive terrace with a capacity of 200 guests, with elevated views over Canary Wharf’s north dock – the perfect place to enjoy the sunset with a cocktail. The terrace is also heated for colder days.
What food and drink are offered?
Like the room itself, Pergola on the Wharf’s in-house menu, developed by Nick Wyborn, former head chef at Mac and Wild, is based on nature and serves healthy seasonal dishes from earth, land and sea available year-round and seasonally oriented. In addition to dishes from a variety of London’s best kitchens, Pergola on the Wharf will also have a separate room that will house a rotating row of guest chefs showcasing innovative dishes from street food vendors from the capital and beyond, and new and exciting themes kitchens and concepts move into the spotlight. Pergola’s three bars have produced drinks in collaboration with some of the best distilleries, breweries and wine merchants in town.
Will there be events at Pergola on the Wharf?
Pergola on the Wharf regularly offers an impressive program of events with weekend festivals, themed brunch parties, DJ sets, live music and much more. During their pre-opening weekend over Bank Holiday in late May, there will be an exciting series of parties to get things started. Further details will be announced shortly.
