Police respond to a gun call in north west London

LONDON, ONT. – London Police responded to a gun investigation at a apartment building on Guildwood Blvd just after 6pm on Friday into a person in distress who was said to be in possession of a firearm.

Neighbors have been instructed to take shelter at the scene, according to London police.

The man turned himself in to police shortly after 8 p.m. without incident.

As a precaution, Hyde Park Road has been closed between Sarnia Road and Royal York.

According to police, there are no other public safety concerns and all roads have been reopened.

There are no reported injuries and police say no charges are expected at this time.
