Solomon Commercials from Haslingden has received an order for 40 bespoke vehicles from JJ Food Service.
The food wholesaler is based in Enfield, employs more than 1,000 people and serves 83,000 customers, ranging from small independent coffee bars to leading Michelin-star restaurants.
The order includes 20 of the already manufactured 13.5t Isuzu and another 20 of the 3.5t Isuzu Grafters to be delivered later in the year.
Each of the 13.5t Isuzu bodies was manufactured to specific requirements with triple doors, rear docking panels, flexible bulkhead and a GAH cooling unit with three-phase electrical standby.
The Isuzu Grafters feature lightweight body assembly, a single side door, a bi-fold bulkhead, dual-opening rear doors, and again, a GAH refrigeration unit.
Ian Lang, Sales Director at Solomon Commercials, said: “We discussed JJ’s current challenges and made suggestions that would provide a more appropriate solution to their operations and the longevity of their fleet while maintaining the quality of service they provide to their customers.
“Something that was taken very seriously by both parties as it is crucial for JJ Food Service to get their products from A to B in the best possible condition and to help their customers succeed.”
