In fact, being out in the sun is so exciting that figuring out which places are worth risking the rain can be difficult. That’s why we’ve rounded up some of our favorite spots for a drink in any weather. Whether you’re in the mood for a fine cup of coffee or thirsting for a refreshing cocktail, this list includes some of the capital’s top attractions.
Mariage Frères tea terrace in Covent Garden
For afternoon tea that will take your Instagram to the next level, we recommend a trip to the Mariage Frères tea terrace. Located in the heart of Covent Garden, the tables offer a perfect view of one of London’s most popular tourist spots in a remarkably quiet time. Harvey Nichols’ Malfy Terrace
This spring, the Harvey Nichols Fifth Floor Terrace was transformed into a blissful Mediterranean escape. Malfy Gin brings the bewitching spirit of the Amalfi Coast to the heart of London. The Malfy Lemon Grove, a lemon-decorated outdoor terrace with Amalfi-style tiles, serves an Italian spring menu exclusively on the terrace and a selection of wonderfully refreshing Malfy gin cocktails. Lively offerings include the spicy Amalfi Settantacinque with Malfy Con Limone, clementine juice, simple syrup and Perrier-Jouet NV Brut, which is perfect for toasting the start of summer. For a better choice, choose the Arancia E Miele Sour with Malfy Con Arancia, lemon juice, blood orange juice, honey, egg white and cardamom bitters or the Frutta Candita with Malfy Gin Rosa, Crème d’abricot and ginger beer. Tanqueray Royale Garden Escape in the Sipping Room in Canary Wharf
One of the largest terraces in London was designed and redesigned in collaboration with Tanqueray Gin’s new Blackcurrant Royale. This hotspot by the river is adorned with purple fairy lights and adorned with fairy lights. The Dorchester Rooftop Sri Lanka Pop-up in Mayfair
After successfully launching its first rooftop restaurant and bar in April 2021, The Dorchester is pleased to announce that Chef Mario Perera will take over the helm of The Dorchester Rooftop until May 30th. The Sri Lankan-born chef Perera will combine his 20 years of experience at the Dorchester with a dining concept that is close to his heart and a legacy: a menu inspired by his beloved homeland. Sea container London X Laurent-Perrier summer terrace on the south bank
This May, the Southbank Hotel Sea Containers London is partnering with the famous Laurent-Perrier champagne house to launch the Sea Containers London X Laurent-Perrier summer terrace. The terrace, which kicks off on Wednesday 19 May and emerges for the duration of the summer, will be a plant-filled oasis on the Thames that brings to life the British hedge in the heart of the Southbank. Guests will be surrounded by an urban garden filled with native British forest trees, ferns and shrubs such as field maples and hazel trees, barrenwort and coral bells. The Bankside Refinery in Southwark
Summertime and Aperol go hand in hand, and there’s no better place to enjoy one than The Refinery Bankside. The beautiful terrace with flower wall and neon sign is furnished with an abundance of beautiful flowers, bright orange parasols, bunting and fairy lights. Yes, we said ten, but here is the bonus entry. This May, Robin and Sarah Gill, along with co-founder Dan Joines, are very excited to announce the launch of Evenings at Rye by the Water. Opened last year as a bakery and coffee shop in the heart of Brentford, the canal-side town has gained a cult following among locals in southwest London. Robin has worked closely with Chef Aisling, formerly Petersham Nurseries and José in Bermondsey, to create an elaborate menu that complies with Robin’s ethos of using seasonal produce and works with the restaurant’s supplier network.
