Zoom reveals the very best progress in 2020 with a 34% enhance in London Enterprise Information

Multiple brands saw tremendous growth in 2020 as the demand for coronavirus pandemics shifted across many industries. One of the brands that became household names during the pandemic was the video communications company Zoom. According to data from Trading Platforms, Zoom was the fastest growing brand of 2020 with brand awareness increasing 34%.

Zoom saw the highest growth in brand awareness at 34%

COVID-19 has changed the reality of the world in several ways, and that change is clearly seen in consumer behavior. Due to lockdowns around the world, many of people’s normal routines were disrupted and many had to adjust to a “new normal”. The radical change meant a dramatic shift in pandemic-related behaviors such as widespread use of grocery delivery services, home entertainment, working with household tools, cleaning products, and pharmaceutical companies to name a few.

One of the brands that have benefited greatly from the sudden shift in demand is video communications company Zoom. Zoom was founded in 2011, but it didn’t become a household name until after the 2020 pandemic. A recent survey shows that Zoom had the greatest growth in brand awareness. 34% more respondents said they were familiar with the brand in November 2020 compared to January of the same year.

Zoom the fastest growing brand of all generations

Zoom’s surge in brand awareness helped make Zoom the fastest growing brand of 2020. In January 2020, only 11% said they were buying from the brand, but by November 2020 that number had grown to 26%, representing a 15% growth. This growth was the highest growth recorded among the brands.

What’s even more impressive is that Zoom’s dominance spans all generations as they are also the fastest growing brand among all age groups. In particular, Zoom saw the highest growth among Millennials (20%) and Gen X (20.3%) members, largely due to the fact that Zoom became a work from home for many companies during the pandemic.

Most of the fastest growing brands are due to pandemic behavior

Zoom wasn’t the only company to benefit from the new normal, as many other brands on the same list may also associate its growth with pandemic-related behavior. With people forced to stay at home, video streaming platforms grew noticeably in popularity as consumers looked for new ways to get involved.

NBC’s new streaming platform, Peacock, was just behind Zoom in the ranking. Brand awareness increased 32% and brand growth 11.5% – the second highest after Zoom. Five other brands related to video streaming (TikTok, HBO Max, Twitch, Tubi TV, Pluto TV) are also among the top 20 fastest growing brands of 2020.

Other brands on the list come from a number of industries, from cleaning products to pharmaceutical companies to financial apps, all of which are showing the clear impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
